Provide adequate transportation for the goat(s). Transportation must be approved by Hill Valley Farm for the safety of the animal(s). Must be enclosed but ventilated in an adequate space in a safe vehicle in which they can stand, turn around and lay down if they want. If buyer shows up with what Hill Valley Farm determines is unsafe/unsatisfactory we reserve the right to turn away buyer without releasing the goat(s). This is for the safety of all involved. Buyer must be the one who picks up goats unless out of state and transportation service has been arranged.
Provide adequate shelter, food, fresh water, and companionship for the goat AT ALL TIMES. Goats do NOT belong on chains, they are NOT lawn mowers, and they need other goat friends because goats are herd animals, and a single goat is a lonely goat.

Hill Valley Farm sale policies:
Hill Valley Farm reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding at any time.
At Hill Valley Farm we are currently taking reservations for 2023 kids. If you see an animal for sale please contact us before sending payment to be sure it is still available.
Here at Hill Valley Farm we take the health and safety of our herd, ourselves, and biosecurity very serious. We also have a family to raise. With that said, there will be no tours or folks coming to "look at see what we have available". We are a reputable breeder of these fantastic dairy goats. We have not only this website, but a Facebook page, Instagram account AND you tube channel we post to regularly. That way, folks can see we are real, lead normal lives and give 100% to our herd. We operate sales on contract and deposit basis. This contract protects both the buyer and seller. Once a contract is signed we require the deposit.
We can only hold goats with a deposit (half of the cost of the animal) and contract. There are no refunds on deposits.
Buyer will be responsible to pick up their purchased goat no later than time of weaning, which is approx. 9-10 weeks of age, depending on the kid. If a goat is not picked up on arranged date, and new arrangements were not made, the animal will be re-listed for sale and deposit will not be refunded.
Effective August 2021: If a goat is past weaning age when we receive a contract & deposit, the goat will need to be paid in full, and picked up within within 2 weeks of contract being signed and deposit received or boarding charges will apply. You will receive a contract after reading sales policy that has name of animal you are purchasing, date agreed upon for pick up and deposit amount and final payment amount. Boarding charges are $5/day/ goat every day past agreed pick up date. Only when a date is chosen AND deposit received will we consider the goat reserved in your name.
Deposits will not be transferred from one person to another while the kid/kids/goats are at our farm waiting to be picked up.
Pricing of animal will differ depending on quality or traits. For instance, if a kid's dam has her milk star and is proven, the kids will be more expensive. Proving our animals takes time and a lot of work. Therefore, our goats are non-negotiable. We also do not do deals when multiple goats are purchased at the same time.
All pregnant does will be given their annual CD&T vaccine four weeks before kidding. All kids two weeks old will be put on a rumencin pellet ration as well as sweet goat ration and BOSS. At 3 weeks of age they will be put on a coccidia prevention regime. At 8 weeks old all kids will receive their first CD&T vaccine, a booster should follow within 3-4 weeks (if they are with you at this time their 2nd CD/T is your responsibility). Tattooing, disbudding and deworming will be done as needed.
All animals leaving our farm will be disease free and healthy. We feed our herd a combination of good quality orchard grass hay, alfalfa, mixed grain with coccidiosis prevention, & BOSS, plus they are out to pasture daily, alternating fields to decrease parasite load. We are not responsible for the health of any animal once it has left our farm. If an animal becomes ill or dies before it leaves our farm, your payment can be transferred to another animal. If no animal is available for purchase at the time, you will be placed on a waiting list for the next kidding.
Be sure to read and agree to all policies before making payment. Sending a payment means you agree to the sale terms and understand all payments are non refundable. You can make deposits two different ways: PayPal ([email protected]), or Venmo (@Jenna-Hill-02). Using these methods means we will not see your payment information at any time.
New as of Jan 1, 2022:
